The morning session is spent on individual and small group work. This uninterrupted period allows the individual and the class to develop a work cycle. Children who work independently and purposefully are free to move where their interests and abilities take them, thus developing their own sense of pace and rhythm. Teachers offer guidance, support and direct teaching; initiating activities and responding to the children’s interests. The schedule also includes collective gatherings for discussions, music, stories, games, songs and group lessons. When weather permits, the children go outdoors to play in our spacious play area. The afternoon program includes lunch, which the children bring from home, rest and an additional individual work time or group work in music or foreign language.
